KON KNUEPPEL – 2024 – SG – CLOSED GYMS MKE
Over the course of the GNBA season Kon Knueppel has been one of the most consistent and top players in the league. This did not change on Sunday as Knueppel continued his strong play. Knueppel has an extremely high basketball IQ and plays basketball the right way. He rarely forces shots or turns the ball over but rather knocks down open looks, finishes around the rim and is a willing passer. Knueppel can score inside and out and can be extremely dangerous when he gets going. In the semi-final loss against
Team Getshook Knueppel scored 13 points.

ISAIAH MELLOCK - 2025 - SG - CLOSED GYMS MKE
There are not many players in the GNBA who are capable of playing as hard or as fast as Isaiah Mellock of Closed Gyms 12U. Mellock is an energetic guard who does everything full blast. He is fearless in going to the basket and does everything on the floor well. Mellock is extremely quick and uses this to blow by defenders and beat players down the floor in transition. In a very good game with Mac Irvin Fire, Mellock scored 24 points.

KON KNUEPPEL – 2024 – SG – CLOSED GYMS MKE
Knueppel played with good overall control and really showed again his versatility offensively. With good size as a shooting guard type player, Knueppel saw the court well in the offense and found ways to get quality looks at the hoop. He finished some jumpers, drilled a couple three-pointers and also pulled down 5 rebounds in the game, ultimately tallying 14 points in a tough championship game loss.

He is a great rebounder and can handle the ball well for being the biggest player on the court. Robinson showed his capability to run the floor and finish around the rim in their opening against All In Athletics. Robinson can play on both sides of the ball at a high level. Kon Knueppel - 2024 (Closed Gyms MKE) - In every game that Kon Knueppel plays there is a very high chance that he will be one of the leading scorers and his team will win by double digits, Saturday was no exception to this statement. Knueppel and his team continued to dominate the GNBA by torching their opponents with their run and gun style of play. Knueppel is a playmaker in every definition of the word. He is an outstanding passer, dribbler and shooter. Closed Gyms MKE has the capability of putting 4 other shooters on the floor with Knueppel, who is a willing passer. The Closed Gym team is a very explosive team with offensive firepower, especially when Kon Knueppel is on the floor.
Isaiah Mellock - 2025 (Closed Gyms MKE) - There are very few players who have instincts and a basketball IQ like Isaiah Mellock. Mellock is an extremely smart basketball player and is very successful because of it. His crafty play tricks his defenders and allows him to score in a variety of ways. While most of Mellock’s points come from attacking the basket, he is a very capable perimeter shooter when he needs to be. Very rarely does Mellock shoot a bad shot or make any type of mistake. Mellock is a playmaker for his team and when he is not on the court the game changes. Closed Gyms MKE loves when the ball finds its way to Mellock because it usually means something good is going to happen. Mellock got hurt in the first game of the day and was unable to play in the second game, however before his injury he was able to score 16 points on 10 shots.

NICK JANOWSKI – 2024 – G/F – CLOSED GYMS MKE/MONFRE BASKETBALL
Janowski did the majority of his scoring work in the first half as Closed Gyms blazed the hoops to finishing the game early. Janowski found his way around the rim often, both cleaning up off the catch or driving there in semi-transition situations, and finished the shots with good control. He also knocked in a three and finished the game with 13 points.
DJ JOHNSON – 2024 – G – CLOSED GYMS MKE/MONFRE BASKETBALL
Johnson was another member of the Closed Gyms team that had a huge impact and helped his team run away with the game. He was exceptional from beyond the arc in this contest, draining three triples and added a few other buckets in the game as well, all tallying up to 15 points.

There have been many great shooting performances this weekend but one player who shot the ball tremendously well was Zavier Zens of Closed Gyms 12U. He passed the ball well, he handled the ball coming up the floor in transition and he made shots all over the place consistently.
